Erik Bergstrom, Brooke Van Poppelen, and Ted Alexandro

Here's the lineup for this week's Not Friday:

Grimmer Tales: A Wicked Collection of Happily Never After StoriesErik Bergstrom Erik is awesome.  He runs a show with RG Daniels every Sunday night at the Three of Cups Lounge in NYC.  He was nominated for TONY joke of the year, and he recently published his first book, Grimmer Tales.  I bought his book when I was out in San Francisco, and I highly, highly recommend it.

Brooke Van Poppelen.  I first saw Brooke when she was a guest on Mid-Evenings with Jay Miller last season (which is currently available as a free podcast through iTunes).  Brooke was nominated for an ECNY award as the “Emerging Comic of 2008,” and she was nominated for the “Best Female Stand-Up of 2009” award the following year.

Ted AlexandroI'm very excited about Ted being on the show.  He's been on Conan, Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Comedy Central, and more.  This is going to be another great show.

It all happens 8pm Monday night at Aces and Eights, 34 Avenue A and 3rd Street, New York, NY.  This is a free weekly show hosted by myself, James Harris and Adam Pateman.  21 and up.  I'll see you there!

Andrea Rosen, Mark Normand, Nick Turner, and Phil Hanley

Thanks to everyone that came out to the show last Monday. The audience was incredible, and Anthony DeVito, Katie Crown, and Reggie Watts were amazing. I can't thank them enough for doing the show. Check out who's on the show this Monday:

Andrea Rosen. If you own a tv, you've seen Andrea Rosen. She's been on Flight of the Conchords, Stella, Michael and Michael Have Issues, The Whitest Kids You Know, and more. You also may have seen her on one of the many commercials she's done. I always used to see her at Rififi performing at Invite Them Up, and she's hilarious.

Mark Normand. Mark was nominated for an ECNY Award for Best Emerging Comic, was featured in Time Out New York’s "Joke of the week," and performed in both the New Orleans Comedy Festival and the DC Comedy Festival. He runs a show called "Hot Soup" every Friday night at O'Hanlon's in NYC, and he was one of the brave souls that came out to Staten Island to perform at a Port Richmond pool hall. Did I mention the fact that he's really funny? Check out his website at marknormandcomedy.com.

Nick Turner. Nick performs all over NYC, and co-hosts a weekly show called "Too Cool for School" every Friday night at Coco 66 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He has been featured on College Humor and Sirius Radio, and has a lot of funny videos up on his website, gonickturner.com.

Phil Hanley.  After his successful performances at the 2008 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Phil Hanley landed a featured segment on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Visit his website at philhanley.net.

As always, I'll be there along with James Harris and Adam Pateman. It all happens at "Not Friday" this Monday night at 8:00.

"Not Friday" is a free weekly show that takes place every Monday at Aces & Eights, 34 Avenue A, New York, NY. I'll see you there.

Anthony DeVito, Katie Crown, and Reggie Watts

Last week's "Not Friday" was amazing. I want to thank Jared Logan, Colin Jost, and Sean Patton for coming out and performing at our very first show. I also want to thank everyone that came out to see the show. Please spread the word!

I'm very, very excited about our second show. First, we have the very funny Anthony DeVito performing. He runs a free show every other Tuesday at The Creek and The Cave in Long Island City (the next show is February 23rd at 9:30).

Next we have Katie Crown. Katie recently performed at Cargo Cafe, and she was absolutely hilarious. My girlfriend, cousin, and multiple friends were literally doubled over during her set, and I will forever be jealous. Come see her before she heads back to that faraway land known as Canada.

Finally, we have the amazingly talented Reggie Watts on the show. I saw him many times at Rififi back when Bobby Tisdale and Eugene Mirman were producing a show every Wednesday. I later saw him perform live with Regina Spektor and in multiple TV appearances. Rather than describe what Reggie does, I'm going to show you. Check this out:

As always, I'll be performing along with James Harris and Adam Pateman. You really don't want to miss this show. It all happens tonight (Monday) at Aces and Eights (formerly Mo Pitkin's) at 34 Avenue A, New York, NY (between E 2nd & E 3rd) at 8:00. Free show!
